SERVICES TERMS & CONDITIONS

Pet Companion offers dog walking, pet sitting, and specialised services to provide your animals with the care and attention they deserve while you're away.

Service Provision: Pet Companion will provide dog walking, pet sitting, and specialised services as agreed upon with the client.

Service Standards: Our services will be delivered by certified, experienced, and background-checked staff.

Service Area: Pet Companion provides services within the following areas: Arkles Bay, Dairy Flat, Hatfields Beach, Manly, Milldale, Millwater, Orewa, Red Beach, Silverdale, Stanmore Bay, Stillwater, Wainui, Waitoki, and Whangaparaoa.

Travel Expenses: A $10+ travel fee applies for areas outside our core zone (past Manly Village).

Surcharges: No surcharges apply for public holidays or statutory days.

Client Responsibilities: Clients must provide accurate information regarding their pets' needs, health, and behaviour.

Service Changes: Any changes to services must be agreed upon by both parties in writing.

Governing Terms: These terms are subject to and governed by our Service Contract Terms and Conditions. By using our services, clients acknowledge they have read and agreed to our Service Contract Terms and Conditions.

BOOKING POLICY

Pet Companion Limited commits time to your bookings. New clients agree to review and sign an electronic contract outlining our terms upon clicking Confirm when using the Setmore booking system. If you reschedule or cancel with less than 24 hours' notice, a one-day service fee applies.

CANCELLATION POLICY

You can cancel or reschedule up to 24 hours before the appointment time.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION 

When booking with Pet Companion, you agree to use the Setmore booking system and may receive appointment-specific communication. This includes confirmations, receipts and reminders via email and SMS.

SERVICE CONTRACT TERMS & CONDITIONS

The Client and Pet Companion Limited agree that:

a) Client Permission: Pet Companion Limited may enter the client's home for pet care services.

b) Surveillance Disclosure: Clients must disclose any surveillance equipment on the premises.

c) Third Party Notification: Clients must notify Pet Companion Limited of any third parties present during service delivery.

d) Liability: Pet Companion Limited is not liable for damage, break-ins, or theft caused by third parties.

e) Unvaccinated Animals: The Client must disclose if their animal is not up-to-date on vaccinations. We reserve the right to refuse service or take precautions.

f) Unregistered Dogs: Clients are responsible for costs/penalties associated with unregistered dogs.

g) Health and Safety Protocols: Pet Companion adheres to animal welfare guidelines; Clients must provide information on pet health conditions.

h) Communication: We'll keep you updated on your pet's wellbeing and may take photos/videos for social media/marketing with consent.

i) Veterinary Release: Clients authorise us to seek veterinary care if necessary and agree to be responsible for expenses.

j) Emergency Contact: We'll attempt to contact the client/emergency contact in case of emergency.

k) Payment Terms:

- Payment is due within 7 days.

- Late fees of 25% apply after 14 days.

- Refund/Credit Policy:

- Refunds will be issued within 7 working days of cancellation.

l) Appointment Changes and Cancellations:

- We'll consult with clients as soon as possible if an appointment needs to be changed or cancelled.
- Client appointment rescheduling or cancellations require at least 24 hours' notice.

- Cancellation Policy:
- A one-day service fee applies for cancellations with less than 24 hours' notice.
- Pet Companion Limited reserves the right to cancel services due to unforeseen circumstances.

m) Privacy and Confidentiality: We maintain confidentiality and won't share personal data without consent.

n) Governing Law and Jurisdiction: This contract is governed by New Zealand laws and disputes will be resolved through New Zealand courts or mediation/arbitration.

(o) Dispute Resolution Process:

- Any disputes arising from this contract will be resolved through:

- Negotiation between Pet Companion Limited and the Client.- Mediation by a neutral third-party mediator.

- Arbitration in accordance with the Arbitration Act 1996 (New Zealand).

- Client complaints must be submitted in writing within 14 days of the dispute arising.

p) Acceptance of Veterinary Release, Terms and Conditions and Privacy Policy: By using our services, clients acknowledge they have read, understood, and agree to the Veterinary Release, Terms and Conditions and Privacy Policy as outlined on this website. Clients understand that these documents may be updated from time to time, and agree to be bound by any changes.
